Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has expressed doubt on a possibility of a deal between the ODM leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper party boss Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
In an interview with the Star, Kilonzo Junior revealed that enough is not being done to salvage the situation.
Since Kalonzo released his personal statement on his agreement with Raila, which was made ahead of the 2017 polls, Junior says the two parties are yet to make significant negotiations for a possibility of a deal.
The Makueni Senator now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and ensure a deal is sealed and the two parties arrive at a solution that will see them work together.

"We should be seeing signs of progress and accord, discussions, private meetings, deals being hammered out. But I do not see any moves. No critical meetings have been held unless we are going to hold them next week," he said.
This comes even as the Azimio Coalition is expected to announce the ODM leader Raila as the flagbearer of the coalition on March 12.
Junior says the more they dilly-dally on this deal, then there is the likelihood that they may fail to seal a deal soonest.
According to Junior, media reports are raising alarm on the status of negotiations as they seem to speak of a deal not happening soon.
"That's why I am saying, they are not talking because if they were, they would have been speaking with one voice. Fortunately, the deadline for the formation of political coalitions is April 9. There are things they are supposed to sort out first," Junior stated.
Kalonzo earlier in the week released a personal statement saying any negotiation with the Azimio La Umoja should b pegged on his agreement with Raila of 2017.
He, however, ruled out the possibility of working with the deputy president William Ruto and said they will still work with Raila if he refuses to heed the 2017 agreement.
