A 15-year-old girl is in police custody after she allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old boy to death.

The shocking Wednesday incident occurred in Nairobi’s Lang’ata area after the two got in an altercation.

Langata sub-county Police commander Gregory Mutiso confirmed the incident saying the teenage suspect is being held at Langata Police station for interrogation.

According to neighbours, the two quarrelled before the girl stabbed the boyfriend twice in the chest.

Neighbours say they heard screams from the house and rushed only to find the deceased writhing in pain with blood oozing from his body.

Quarrel

Witnesses said the girl confronted the boyfriend over a conversation with another girl before a quarrel occurred.

Neighbours claimed the two teenagers have been in a relationship with the girl frequently visiting the boy during the day—and while it remains unclear what prompted the deadly quarrel.

Efforts to save the 19-year-old Form Two student were futile as he was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Mary’s hospital where he was rushed for medication.
