Raila will, among other things, engage the Commonwealth Secretariat between March 15 and 16

ODM leader Raila Odinga is set for a 5-day trip to the United Kingdom, it has now emerged.

The ODM Leader will leave the country next Monday, just a few days after Deputy President William Ruto and his entourage jet back to the country after their 12-day trip.

The ODM leader, who is also African Union Special Envoy, is having a fully packed itinerary during his 5-day visit.

Raila will, among other things, engage the Commonwealth Secretariat between March 15 and 16, the Star reports.

The secretariat is the intergovernmental organisation that supports the 54 member states to achieve the Commonwealth’s aims of development, democracy and peace.

Raila will also meet and discuss myriad issues with representatives of Kenyans living in the UK.

He will also meet top British businessmen.

His Monday visit will come a few days after the ODM leader is endorsed as the Azimio La Umoja Coalition presidential candidate.

The function is set for Saturday, March 12.

A day after his travel, Ruto will also be endorsed as UDA party Presidential candidate.

The UDA has scheduled his NDC for March 15.
