Disappointed Kuria said the former Citizen TV journalist had scored the highest marks to be his deputy.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is a disappointed man.

This after the most qualified woman in the post of Kiambu County Woman Representative Janet Mbugua could not take the role following her commitment.

In a message on Facebook, disappointed Kuria said the former Citizen TV journalist had scored the highest marks to be the deputy governor.

He said Mbugua has had an emergency that she will attend to during the period of his term in the event they were to be elected.

"I am shattered. After scoring the highest marks in the talent search for Kiambu Deputy Governor, Janet Mbugua will not be taking up the job due to unforeseen personal emergencies that she has to attend to in the immediate term," Kuria said.

The MP has, however, said they will ensure they tap on Mbugua's experience and knowledge if he wins the Kiambu governor seat by looking for an opportunity that she can fit in.

She noted that Mbugua is a good fit and is an inspiration to the youth and would help in sharing the agenda of his government.

"My administration will definitely find a way to benefit from Janet's experience and capacity in the future. I feel the loss. Janet is a huge inspiration for the youth, for professionals, for women and for young mothers of this country," he added.
