Deputy President William Ruto has today held a meeting with Embu Governor Martin Wambora and his Samburu counterpart Moses Lenolkulal.
Through his social media accounts, the second in command revealed that he met the two at his Karen office in Nairobi county. Despite this, the DP did not disclose more details on the nature of their meeting, eliciting mixed reactions online.
He, however, promised to disclose more details after the meeting.

The meeting comes just a day after Ruto officially welcomed Narok Governor Samuel Tunai to his UDA party. The second term governor had been silent on his next political move, but Friday's declaration to support William Ruto set wide the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
Governor Wambora, who was elected on a Jubilee ticket has been leaning towards Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja camp. He was among the Azimio governors who attended the Naivasha meeting in support of Raila Odinga's presidential bid early this year in January.
But the governor has not come out publicly to accompany Raila to his Azimio rallies, unlike his other counterparts from the Mt Kenya region including Lee Kinyanjui (Nakuru) Ndiritu Muriithi (Laikipia) Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua) James Nyoro (Kiambu) who have been close to Raila.
Already, the neighboring Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki, together with a number of legislators from Embu and Meru counties have defected to Ruto's UDA party.
Governor Lenolkulal on the other hand has largely been associated with Ruto's camp despite not coming out to declare his support in public.
