His dramatic wailing brought business at the parliament to a standstill.

A man has staged drama ta parliament buildings where the late President Mwai Kibaki's body is lying in state.

All Makana, who hails from Bungoma, was in tears wailing loudly as security officers moved with speed to try and contain him.

The man however proved to be difficult to contain after he kept on crying until he removed his sweater and t-shirt exposing the upper part of his body.

"Why allow him to go soon? Wh?! Why? Why? He is my president, he has been my distant grandfather... Why allow him to go soon?" the unidentified man ranted amid tears.

Makana continued wailing even as he kept praising Kibaki lauding him as his best president ever.

"I need to see him, he gave me free education,"  he said even as he wailed.

His dramatic wailing brought business at the parliament to a standstill even as a section of Kenyans got attracted to the incident.

Unashamedly, he kept on with the drama with the police begging him to keep cool in vain.

Kibaki's body will lie in state at parliament buildings until Wednesday. Kenyans are allowed to view the body until 5 pm.

A state funeral will be held on Friday in his honour. Friday will be a public holiday.

Kibaki will be laid to rest at his Othaya home in Nyeri county on Saturday.
