Millicent Omanga Under Fire After Social Media Comment on Kalonzo Musyoka

Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has ignited social media after her comment on Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Taking it to her official Twitter account on Thursday, Omanga said that it seemed the former Vice President was going through a lot in the Azimio One Kenya coalition party.

The lawmaker suggested that the Raila-Odinga led Azimio should give Kalonzo what he wanted.

"Seems Wiper party leader H.E @skmusyokais going through a lot on the other side of the Isle. Si wampe tu chenye anataka yawa!" Omanga tweeted.

A section of netizens was quick to react to Omanga's tweet with a few tweeps taking the opportunity to blast the lawmaker for the gesture.

Tweeps questioned the senator on whether she knew what Kalonzo wanted so that she could offer it to him. 

Another section of netizens urged Omanga to focus on Kenya Kwanza affairs instead of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance.

Omanga's comment comes after Raila picked a 7-member advisory panel to select his running mate in the August polls.

In a statement by Azimio Secretary-General Junet Mohamed on Wednesday, eligible candidates for the position must demonstrate that nomination to the office of the deputy president is a responsibility to serve the people rather than the power to rule them.

Junet said that the panel was required to submit name/names of the suitable candidates to the ODM leader for his consideration before May 10.
