Kuria said a history that happened 20 years ago is about to repeat itself in Kenya

Hours before the third President of Kenya the late Mwai Kibaki is laid to rest at his Othaya home in Nyeri county, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has indirectly hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta's Presidential choice Raila Odinga.

Through a statement on his Facebook page on Friday, April 29, evening, Kuria, while comparing Deputy President William Ruto to the late President Kibaki, said a history that happened 20 years ago is about to repeat itself in Kenya.

In particular, Kuria predicted doom for Uhuru's choice Raila Odinga, claiming that the Mt Kenya people are going to reject him (Deep State's project) in the August 9, general polls.

According to Uhuru's home MP, history usually repeats itself for the first time as a mockery and for the second time as a tragedy, adding that is only a matter of time before this comes to pass.

"History repeats itself, the first time as a farce, the second time as a tragedy. 20 years ago the people of Mt Kenya resisted the deep state. They are about to do it again" stated Kuria.

Kuria's remarks came just a few hours after political rivalry between DP William Ruto and Raila Odinga played out in the open at Nyayo Stadium during Kibaki's funeral service.

It took the intervention of the presiding Arch. Bishop Martin lthuva to calm down supporters who tried cheering the two respectively when they were ushered into the podium to eulogize the late Mwai Kibaki.

The Bishop warned all speakers against talking politics, saying the late never waded into politics when he attended mass and Sunday services.

Uhuru Kenyatta had promised to raid Mt Kenya region and campaign for his choice Raila Odinga when the right time comes, saying he will not shy off from speaking his mind.

“Those who think I will not be on the campaign trail should hold their horses. They will soon see me traversing the country, telling the people my truth. Where do they think they can take me?” posed Uhuru recently in Kandara, Muranga County when he joined the AIPCA faithful for the church’s joint holy oil consecration ceremony and prayer service.
