If elections were to be held today, Senator Johnson Sakaja would be the next Nairobi Governor, ODM secretary General Edwin Sifuna Senator and current Woman Rep Esther Passaris would retain her seat.

This is according to the latest opinion poll by TIFA.

Data obtained by Tifa shows that Sakaja is the leading contestant with 23 per cent of respondents backing him.

Jubilee's Polycarp Igathe is the second most popular governor candidate after bagging the support of 15 per cent of the respondents.

Sifuna on the other hand leads the Senatorial race with 19 per cent of the respondents supporting him. Bishop Margaret Wanjiru came in second with 6 per cent of the respondents on her side.

Passaris on the other hand enjoys the support of 27 per cent of respondents who took part in the polls with Omanga coming in second with 6.2 per cent.

The Tifa research also showed that ODM leader Raila Odinga is the most preferred presidential candidate in Nairobi.

The survey shows that Raila is leading with 41 per cent of the respondents' votes while Ruto is trailing with 26 per cent.

32 per cent of Nairobians are still undecided on who fits the bill for the top seat.

At the same time, the ODM party has emerged as the most popular party in Nairobi with 26 per cent of respondents backing it.

The UDA party came second with 22 per cent of respondents saying they support it.
