The former Nairobi Governor said that there’s no doubt that the former Prime Minister will clinch Kenya’s top seat.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has said that Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga will be the next president of Kenya.

At a press briefing on Friday, May 6, Sonko said that there’s no doubt that the former Prime Minister will clinch Kenya’s top seat.

However, according to the Mombasa Wiper gubernatorial aspirant, he has a problem with the people surrounding the ODM leader.

 “Raila Odinga you’re the next President, there no doubt about it. You will be the President. And it's not that we hate you. We love you and you’re our leader in Azimio. We have great respect for you," Sonko said.

“The only problem with your secretariat are the people surrounding you. We don’t have a problem with you,” he added.

The former county boss further asked the former Prime Minister to waste no time in choosing Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate.

Sonko said that Kalonzo is a national leader and peacemaker who has done a lot for the country and that he would bring over 3.5 million votes to the Azimio vote basket.

“I’m pleading with Raila to listen to this. The people in your boardroom are misleading you (Raila). Take your deputy president here (Kalonzo), announce him today and we’ll all sing ‘Raila Tosha’” Sonko concluded.
