Azimio supporters arrived at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in numbers on Monday, May 16, ahead of the naming of Raila Odinga's running mate. 

The former Prime Minister announced that he would be naming his deputy today (Monday) at KICC during the Kamukunji rally. 

Among the leaders who have landed at KICC are Martha Karua, Edwin Sifuna, Charity Ngilu Peter Munya, and Gideon Moi. 


Odinga was under pressure to name his running mate on Sunday.

"Our campaign is aware that Kenyans are anxious to know the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Presidential ticket. We will make the announcement tomorrow (Monday)," Azimio spokesperson Makau Mutua stated. 

Reports indicate that the top three candidates whose names made it to the final shortlist are Martha Karua, Peter Kenneth, and Kalonzo Musyoka.
