Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has questioned the nature of the huge crowd witnessed during the rally.

A day after Deputy President William Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua took Nyeri county by storm, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has questioned the nature of the huge crowd witnessed during the rally.

The Jubilee Party legislator laughed off Ruto's massive reception, claiming the crowd was not really big as portrayed from the pictures shared and that part of the crowd had allegedly been imported into the county.

According to Ngunjiri, the photos had allegedly been edited and manipulated to hoodwink the nation about Ruto's grand reception in Rigathi Gachagua's home county.

"Thank you for this picture Kiruga Thuku. In it one can see the edge of the crowd from the centre that is where Ruto is. So no way the second photo is real," stated Ngunjiri.

The vocal MP went ahead to sarcastically criticize Ruto's team, claiming they denied his UDA competitor in the Nyeri Town constituency a chance to address the crowd.

"But that’s not what’s important. Why didn’t you guys allow your UDA Nyeri MP Aspirant to speak to this crowd you had ferried into our constituency. Ama you realised since the crowd doesn’t know him they might heckle him? You guys didn’t even allow your governor to speak! Nyinyi mnamadharau sana

"Now someone please ask Bwana DO Ringa-Thi to come to Nyeri Town without his Boss. Asiogope. Na akuje aongee na watu wa Nyeri Town instead of carrying people from Mathira to come listen to him in Nyeri Town. It’s not worth the expense Mhesh," he added.

Ruto and Rigathi alongside other Kenya Kwanza team was accorded massive receptions in Mathira, Karatina and Nyeri town on Saturday during Rigathi's homecoming rally.
