Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported they had killed three thugs suspected of robbing and terrorizing Nairobi residents.
The gang was in October 2020, was last month caught on CCTV cameras stealing from a movie shop in Buruburu.
DCI's statement read: "Three robbery with violence suspects were last night fatally injured by a team of detectives at Kwa Mbao area in Kariobangi.
Two pistols, rounds of ammunition, spent cartridges, and an unregistered motorcycle were recovered after a shoot out that saw a one suspect escape.
The four have been captured on camera committing various robberies in past. Two months ago, a University student lost his life in the hands of the gangsters within Buruburu."
In October, the footage of a daring robbery in Nairobi’s Buruburu estate has been released showing the shocking moment six armed thugs raided an electronics shop last weekend.
The six gangsters casually walked into the store and posed as regular customers before one of them drew a pistol and ordered two customers into another room where the owner of the business is said to have been situated.
The 8-minute video captured the thugs ransacking the store before one of the gangsters dismantled the CCTV camera.
