At the same time, he w said women who will be visiting his wife will enjoy some cups of porridge that will be prepared for them.

"You know this government froze my account. When we take power, I will take my money back and I will come and build a home here in Kieni so that you can come to visit me. I will build a nice house and also a nice place where men can grill meat and also drink what we drink as we talk," Gachagua said.

"For the women, we will have a nice place for them where they will be coming to visit his wife as they drink porridge while singing and dancing."

Gachagua's also asked residents to invite him to all incomplete churches saying he will spare some money for such projects.

About Sh200 million of Gachagua's money were frozen in accounts held at microfinance banks.

In May, 2020, Gachagua's three personal accounts were frozen on suspicions of money laundering at Rafiki Microfinance Bank.

Gachugua was being investigated for claims of colluding with officials from Nyeri county and the state department of Irrigation through his companies and close associates to receive money suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Senior resident magistrate Muthoni Nzibe allowed the application by ARA and ordered the freezing of all accounts for several days which meant Gachagua was not able to do any transactions
