Machakos Senator Boniface Mutinda Kabaka had passed on at Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted.

The Senator was last week on Friday rushed to the Nairobi Hospital ICU after collapsing at a Kilimani apartment.

Mr. Kabaka checked-in at the apartment on Elgeyo Marakwet Road on Thursday alongside a woman identified as Esther Muli.

While at the apartment, the Senator is reported to have complained about a severe headache and requested painkillers.

However, the pain persisted forcing the lady to seek help from the apartment management, who in turn called an ambulance.

Leaders have begun sending Messages of condolence to the family and the people of Machakos County.

"It is with profound shock and sadness that I have learnt of the passing of Hon. Boniface Kabaka, the Machakos County Senator. Senator Kabaka has been a long time friend, a passionate legislator who cut himself out as a dependable defender of Devolution. sincere condolences go to his family, friends, the Senate, and the people of Machakos. The people of Machakos have truly lost a brilliant son and a devout public servant. May the Almighty God bless and rest his soul in eternal peace," Governor Mike Sonko.

"On behalf of myself and the people of Machakos, I pass my condolence to the family of our beloved Senator Boniface Kabaka who has gone to be with the Lord due to the effects of a stroke arising from a blood clot that has been bothering him for a while," Governor Alfred Mutua.
