The late Tob Cohen sister has asked for President William Ruto's intervention over the looming withdrawal of her brother's murder case.
The case is likely to be withdrawn today, Tuesday, December 6, after DPP Noordin Haji sought to have the case stopped.
In an interview with Dutch TV, Gabriele Van Straten has expressed her shock at the removal of the case and said the decision took her aback.
“Dear Mr President Ruto, please don’t let the murderers of my brother walk free,” she pleaded.
She has also written to Dutch foreign affairs minister Hoekstra asking for his intervention on the matter.

The DPP, last Wednesday, made an application seeking to withdraw the murder charge and register it as an inquest thereby removing widow Sarah Cohen and Peter Karanja from the case.
While receiving a phone call on the withdrawal of the case, Gabriele termed the new terrible saying it has had a devastating effect on her.
“It’s terrible, I have aged ten years overnight no one had expected this,” she said.
She said all she has ever wanted in the matter is justice for the brutal murder of her late brother.
“I always said justice has to prevail I don’t care about the house there is hardly anything left of it,” she said.
The Cohen sister is represented by Lawyer Cliff Ombeta and Dastan Omari. The two opposed the application by the DPP.
