Doctors say the baby boy has lost his sense of sight following the ruthless act by the kidnappers.

A family in Kisii county is seeking justice for their three-year-old son who was kidnapped by a gang that injured him.

Baby Sagini's eyes were gouged out by the heartless gang which dumped him at his family's banana plantation before taking off.

The minor went missing on Wednesday, December 14, before being traced a day later writhing in pain with blood all over his face.

He was rushed to the Kisii Eye Hospital where he has been recuperating after a medical operation.

The doctors however established that Sagini would not be able to see again after their assessment and operation.

"Both his eyes had been removed completely and there were some injuries in the lids. It looks like they used a sharp object like a knife," a doctor said.

The medics added that he would be booked in for a second operation after the first one stabilizes him.

The family's worry is to face the young one with the harsh reality that he will never see again in his lifetime.

Family and friends have called on the police to expedite their investigations and bring to book the perpetrators of the heinous act on the little boy.
