The journalist has been admitted to Meridian Equator Hospital in Nairobi West.


Nation Media Group has appealed for a blood donation after one of its journalists was admitted to a hospital.

In social media post, the medical company stated that its employee Janet Chapia is in the hospital and needs blood urgently.

The media company announced that any blood group would help.

“Please let's come through for my friend and colleague Janet Chapia, an Editor at NTV. She is at the Meridian Equator hospital, Nairobi West hospital. All are welcome to donate blood from 9:00am in the morning. Any blood group will do, journalists, please let's do this,” Nation Media Group wrote on Twitter.

Chapia has been admitted to Meridian Equator Hospital in Nairobi West.

She is still undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Chapia has been working with NTV as a news editor. She is one of the top journalists the Kimathi street based TV station poached from The Standard Media Group.
