The man has been arrested by police in Kisii County.

Police in Kisii County have arrested a man in Kiobegi area of Nyamache after he was alleged to have beheaded his two children on Friday, January 6.

Nyamache OCPD Kipkulei Kipkemboi, who confirmed the incident, said that the suspect hacked the two minors aged two and three before dumping their bodies in his farm.

According to Kipkemboi, the deceased minors had deep cuts on their heads, and the motive behind the incident has not yet been established.

Investigations into the incident have been launched by the police, and the bodies of the minors have been moved to the morgue.

The incident comes barely two days after a Form Two student who had been beaten by his mother was found lying dead in their house in Migori County.

Confirming the incident, Migori County Police Commander Mark Wanjala said that the mother confessed to having beaten the 15-year-old after his lifeless body was discovered on Tuesday morning, January 3.

"The woman has admitted to beating the deceased, but she says that her eldest son was also present," Wanjala stated.

Wanjala said that the cause of death of the 15-year-old had not been established but police suspected he succumbed to the injuries.
