Kidero is challenging the election of Gladys Wanga as Homa Bay Governor.

Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has hired the services of Supreme Court Lawyer Juliana Soweto in his case challenging the declaration of Gladys Wanga as the winner of Homa Bay Gubernatorial elections on August 9.

Soweto became popular in his presentation at the Supreme Court of Kenya where she was acting on behalf of Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Her presentation on a Venezuelan she claimed took part in doctoring the results made her a sensational during the hearing of the presidential petition.

The lawyer was Friday seen in the company of Kidero in Homa Bay ahead of the pre-trial conference of the case challenging Wanga's victory.

Kidero was seeking to succeed governor Cyprian Awiti in the August 9 polls as an independent candidate.

He seeking to overturn Wanga's win claiming that, among other reasons, that his clients were locked out of polling stations during which  the results were interfered with.

“Forms 37A were altered in many polling stations thus causing a lot of anomalies in the results. We will follow what the law dictates to dispute the gubernatorial results,” Kidero said.

“I have always been a peaceful person and that is the major reason I am here. To my people, keep calm because this issue will be sufficiently addressed.”
