Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now says that the Kenya kwanza government has no problem with Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga. 

Speaking in Homa Bay County on Friday, January 13, the second in command stated that the Ruto government respects the former Prime Minister and provides him with security.

“We have no problem with Baba and the election period ended. We only had a problem when looking for power. Baba is respected in our government, President William Ruto is catering for his cars and security because he is a Kenyan leader,” DP Gachagua stated.

The former Mathira MP also hailed the Homa Bay residents for turning up in numbers to welcome President Ruto to their county.

"I take my hat off to you the people of Homa Bay for coming out in large numbers to welcome our President,” Gachagua said.

The DP was among the top Kenya Kwanza government official who accompanied the President on his Nyanza tour.

Other officials include ICT CS Eliud Owalo, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, and Interior PS Raymond Omollo.
