President William Ruto has been treated to a warm reception during his tour of the Luo Nyanza.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is sending a message to President William Ruto following his warm reception in the Luo Nyanza, Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has claimed.

In his analysis of Ruto’s visit to the Luo Nyanza on Friday and Saturday, Ahmednasir said it indicates that the ODM leader is somewhat showing Ruto that he is willing to engage him in a political deal of sorts.

"Through the warm celebratory reception extended to President William Ruto by local Luo politicians in his current visit to Nyanza, Hon Raila sends a potent loaded message to President Ruto..."I hold all cards, and I'm ready to deal..." he tweeted.

Nearly all elected leaders from the region flanked him during the tour and spoke of their willingness to work with him for the sake of development.

Ruto alongside his deputy Rigathi Gachagua landed in Homa Bay county on Friday and were received by top ODM leaders in a complete departure from the past.

Ecstatic crowds began milling around Kabunde airstrip where the President landed with all the elected leaders, led by Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga lining up to receive him.

In Homa Bay town, Ruto received wild cheers as he addressed the gatherings, doling out goodies to the residents.
