Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday, January 20 released the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) offices in Nairobi.

The number of students who attained the university entry of C+ and above was 173,345 out of 881, 416 students who sat for the exam.

“The number of students with minimum university entry qualification of grade C+ and above has risen to 173,345 forming 19.03 percent in the year 2022 KCSE examination compared to 145,776 which was 17.55 percent in 2021,” CS Machogu announced.

The Education CS also noted that in 2022 a total of 1,146 students scored grade A compared to 1,138 in 2021.

Machogu also noted that the number of students with grade E in the 2022 KCSE exam dropped to 30,822 compared to 46,151 in 2021.

Candidates can access their results on SMS platforms, county education offices and their respective schools.

"Candidates can collect their results from their respective examination centres. Individual candidate results can also be accessed by sending a candidate's index number followed by the initials KCSE through a short messaging service to 20076," said CS Machogu.
