"We are on for the rally. It is going to be the mother of all rallies." 

A section of Azimio La Umoja leaders are holed up in a meeting at a Nairobi hotel this Monday morning, Nairobi Leo has learnt.

Sources privy to the meeting have intimated to this Website that the group has remained hellbent that ODM leader Raila Odinga must hold his Kamukunji rally as planned.

This is despite immense pressure and warning of dire consequences from a section of leaders allied to the government.

Among those attending the meeting is Nairobi ODM Chairman George Aladwa.

The MP disclosed to a local daily that the rally is still on and that all is set for a mammoth crowd attend.

"We are on for the rally. It is going to be the mother of all rallies, watch this space," Aladwa said.

Raila Odinga

Earlier, Raila's spokesperson Dennis Onyango urged Azimio supporter to avail themselves at Kamukunji grounds for a major declaration.

The ODM leader's aid said Raila will discuss the content of a whistle-blower with regards to the 2022 August 9, polls.

"He will discuss recent disclosures by a whistle-blower on the conduct of the 2022 General Election. He appeals to Kenyans to show up in large numbers at the Kamukunji baraza in the interest of the country," Onyango said. 

Raila has been in South Africa for the last few days. 

His absence from the country saw his key allies led by Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua and Jubilee SG Jeremiah Kioni stage numerous press conference announcing that new information in their possession show that the August 9 polls were rigged. 

Raila is today, Monday, January 23 expected to address the matter.
