His response comes a day after Gachagua asked President Ruto to allow him to deal with the Azimio camp.

Azimio la Umoja Leader Raila Odinga has slammed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for threatening to deal with him.

Speaking on Monday, January 23 at Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi the former Prime Minister dared the DP Gachagua to try him.

“He (Rigathi Gachagua) asked his boss to deal with me. Every time he claims that he is the son of Mau Mau, I want to tell him he was not yet born when Jaramogi Oginga Odinga was defending Mau Mau in Prison.

He added, “Gachagua has no respect, he doesn't know where we have come from, even Nyayo could not threaten me. He should know that I have gone to prison three times. I am not of his age in life and in politics. I want to tell Ruto and Gachagua to stop threatening us. Ruto and Gachagua can’t threaten us, we are Kenyans and we will remain here. They stole our victory, and I don’t want them to add to it with insults. We are demanding our rights and we are ready to die."

His response comes a day after Gachagua asked President Ruto to allow him to deal with the Azimio camp.

"I am the real Mau Mau for Raila...give us a week or so we deal with them and then come back to work for the coffee and tea for our farmers," Gachagua said on Sunday, January 22 in Kirinyaga County.
