“Any program or agenda that somebody is pursuing now to disrupt the economy in the middle of a drought is an ill-advised agenda," Mudavadi.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged President William Ruto to stay focused and keep his eye on the ball.

Mudavadi told the Head of State not to be swayed by the happenings being propagated by the Azimio camp led by their leader Raila Odinga.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary, who spoke at William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok County on Sunday, January 29, said that Odinga needs to accept that the electioneering period is long gone and Kenyans have moved on.

“Mr President, being our captain keep your eye on the ball. As your foot soldiers, we will support you fully in the quest to move Kenya to the next level of economic prosperity. We will walk with you and stick to our agenda of resuscitating the economy for it to work for all Kenyans," Mudavadi stated.

He added, “Any program or agenda that somebody is pursuing now to disrupt the economy in the middle of a drought is an ill-advised agenda. It is ill-advised, kusema kwamba unataka uambie wakenya wasusie products, which products do you want Kenyans to boycott? Yet we want jobs created, when jobs are created more Kenyans will pay tax and when more Kenyans pay tax, the government of President Ruto will be able to do more in roads, in medicine in hospitals, in education na Kenya iende mbele.”

President Ruto, his Deputy Gachagua, Mudavadi, and Naroka Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu.

Odinga, on Sunday, during the Azimio rally at Jacaranda sensationally claimed that he won the August 2022 general election.

The former Premier also complained about the high cost of living saying that life was unbearable for most Kenyans.

"You have become Zaccheus the tax collector in Kenya. You must admit that you were defeated in the polls. Come out of State House for Baba to get in. We don't want fights, and we don't want conflicts, but we will not accept being intimidated. Kenyans have a right to sound leadership, and that is why Azimio is firm," he said.
