President William Ruto on Wednesday morning held a key meeting with elected Members of the National Assembly and the Senate elected on the Jubilee Party ticket at State House, Nairobi. 

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is also present at the meeting.

The President's meeting comes a day after he met 9 Luo Nyanza ODM MPs at the same venue eliciting sharp reactions among political players.

Sources at State House told Nairobi Leo that the meeting seeks to strike a working and political partnerships.

All elected MPs of the Jubilee party attended the meeting and it is believed that the group could be contemplating joining the ruling government.

Leaders who spoke at the meeting, according to our source, include Nominated MP Sabina Chege, and Eldas MP Adan Keynan among others.

In their speeches, the leaders committed themselves to work with the Government of the day in fostering development in the country.

Many Jubilee MPs have been skipping Raila's rallies, a move is seen as aimed at charting a different political path.

The meeting with the Jubilee leaders comes a day before Azimio's parliamentary group meeting scheduled on Thursday at Stoni Athi Resort in Machakos county.
