Uhuru Kenyatta recently said he was retired but not tired.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has now requested former Head of State Uhuru Kenyatta to allow President William Ruto to lead.

Speaking at Nakuru Athletics Club in Nakuru County, Sunday, January 13, Mudavadi further called on the losers of the 2022 general election especially at the Presidential level to accept the reality and move on.

“A whole-mark of a mature democracy is one that transits smoothly from one administration to another. This is what has happened in the transition that was undertaken and now President Ruto is at the helm of the leadership of Kenya. For now, there is no reverse gear and for those who are still doubting I request the clergy to pray for them.

“I am also once again pleading and reminding those who have transited that time is now for President Ruto to work and deliver for Kenyans. It is time for the Kenya Kwanza administration to focus, and no diversionary tactics will drift Kenya Kwanza’s eye off the ball. So, it is time they are brought systematically to the reality of things," he stated.

This comes hours after former President Uhuru Kenyatta swore allegiance to ODM leader Raila Odinga saying he would back him incase he was eyeing a specific seat.

“Kustaafu sio kuchoka, hata wengine wakistaafu ndio nguvu inaongezeka. Na mimi hata kama nimewacha siasa active mimi bado ni mfuasi wa baba, sasa akiniambie twende, lazima twende," Kenyatta announced on Saturday.
