Registrar of political parties Anne Nderitu has ratified the decision of the Jubilee Party National Executive Council to kick out Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe as Party secretary general and vice chairman respectively.

In a letter to Jubilee deputy Secretary General Joshua Kuttuny, Nderitu approved the contents of the NEC meeting resolutions.

"This Office acknowledges receipt of your letter dated 10th February 2023 and received on February 13, 2023, at the Jubilee Party (JP) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on February 10, 2023," the letter reads in part.

"The Office has taken note of the contents of your submissions and the resolutions. It is also noted that the meeting was properly convened as per the party constitution."

She asked the Jubilee deputy SG to inform the registrar's office of any internal disputes that may arise over the matter.

"You are further required to adhere to the provisions of the party constitution as you undertake the said processes," the NEC was told by the ORPP.

The letter deals a blow to Kioni who had maintained that he is still the secretary general of the Jubilee Party.
