It is now emerging that the new Jubilee Party officials will be taking over their offices this coming Thursday. 

Nairobi Leo has learnt that the new officials are keen on instituting far-reaching changes in the party even as they warm up to their new marriage to the ruling Kenya Kwanza government.

The plans by the new officials come even after the Registrar of political parties Anne Nderitu ratified changes made in a meeting convened in Naivasha by the National Executive Council.

“We are now legally the bona fide officials of the Jubilee party following the registrar of political parties' ratifications,” the official said.

He added that they will be moving to their respective offices to begin discharging their mandate officially.

Sources told Nairobi Leo that the officers have made plans to ensure that the former officeholders do not carry out any activity on behalf of the party. 

The changes to be made include the administration and management of the party including changing the bank accounts' signatories to protect party resources.

In the changes announced by the NEC, EALA MP Kanini Kega is now the acting Secretary general replacing Jeremiah Kioni.

Eldas MP Adan Keynan was named the acting national vice-chairperson. replacing David Murathe.

Also, Nairobi Leo has learnt that the party is planning to start disciplinary action against the ousted members immediately after they settle in the office.

The Jubilee party moved its headquarters from Pangani to Kileleshwa.
