Eugene Wamalwa had kept her wife out of the public limelight during his tenure in the government leaving Kenyans to speculate about his family.

Former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has introduced his wife to the public for the first time.

Eugene revealed his wife on Wednesday, February 14 while taking over the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) Party leadership from his predecessor Wafula Wamunyinyi.

While introducing his wife, Eugene noted that she will be the first lady if he succeeds to win the 2027 general election.

“Nashukuru sababu mmekubali yeye pia ajiunge na chama so officially mimi na familia yangu ni wana DAP,” Wamalwa told the DAP-K officials.

While addressing the DAP-K officials the former CS’s wife revealed that she is called Lucy Wamalwa.

Wamalwa and his wife Lucy are said to have adopted ten children but have none of their own.

In the new DAP-K leadership changes, Eugene Waamalwa will be the party leader and 2027 presidential candidate. Wafula Wamunyinyi who was the previous party leader will now be the deputy party leader, David Eseli Simiyu will be the secretary General and Bernand Masanja will be the deputy secretary general.
