"Today the police officers went and invaded the headquarters of the Jubilee Party and took over the offices," Raila.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga now says police have raided the Jubilee party headquarters.

Addressing the press on Wednesday evening, February 15, Odinga stated that the Government is trying to destroy Jubilee so that it can be consumed by Kenya Kwanza.

"Today the police officers went and invaded the headquarters of the Jubilee Party and took over the offices. They are trying to destroy Jubilee so that Jubilee can be consumed by Kenya Kwanza. This is an intention of retaking this country back to a single party dictatorship," the former premier told the press.

Odinga claimed that the country is going through some dangerous times because of the Kenya Kwanza government.

"Where we are, we are going through some very dangerous situations in this country. Kenyans must stand firm against intimidation and blackmail by those who are in power. The people’s power must prevail. This country also needs prayer," he stated.

This comes barely a day after Registrar of political parties Anne Nderitu ratified the decision of the Jubilee Party National Executive Council to kick out Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe as Party secretary general and vice chairman respectively.

In a letter to Jubilee deputy Secretary General Joshua Kuttuny, Nderitu approved the contents of the NEC meeting resolutions.

"This Office acknowledges receipt of your letter dated 10th February 2023 and received on February 13, 2023, at the Jubilee Party (JP) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on February 10, 2023.

"The Office has taken note of the contents of your submissions and the resolutions. It is also noted that the meeting was properly convened as per the party constitution," part of the letter reads.
