Among the big names in the said list are Cleophas Malala and former Kirinyaga county woman representative Purity Ngirici.

A list of purported appointees to Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) posts has been flagged as fake.

The list started making rounds on the interwebs on Saturday coming into Sunday, February 19.

A host of big names were featured, among them former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, Purity Ngirici, Okoth Obado, and Caleb Kositany.

Weighing in on the list, Nandi senator Samson Cherargei asserted it is fake.

"Ignore this fake propaganda the recruitment process is ongoing. H.E Ruto loyalists & supporters should relax their rewards is coming in full as per your commitment during campaigns. Let's pray for our nation as we work towards its transformation. Blessed Sunday," he said.

Last week, the Employment and Labour Relations Court dismissed a case filed by the law society of Kenya challenging the creation of the CAS post.

Justice Monica Mbaru on Thursday ruled that the public service commission followed the due process of the law in creating and recruiting the intended office holders.

“Employment and Labour Relations court delivers judgment on the CAS case and finds that the PSC followed the correct procedure in setting up the office. The petition by the Law Society of Kenya is dismissed,” read the statement.

The latest ruling is a huge win for Ruto who was keen on rewarding his close allies who stood with him and campaigned for his presidential bid.

The CAS post has been facing legal headwinds so much so that it was at one time declared illegal.

The court ruling now gives Ruto an opportunity to make some appointments in which he will most likely award his loyalists.
