Raila on Wednesday gave the Kenya Kwanza government a 14-day ultimatum to restore food subsidies and lower taxes.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has broken his silence over Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga's countrywide mass action threat.

Speaking on Thursday, February 23 in Murang’a County, Gachagua said the opposition has the right to demonstrate as long as peace is maintained.

The second in command however cautioned Raila against destroying any property or business when doing the protests.

"You can't sell fear to us, even if it's free we don't want it. Continue with your protests but when you have finished go home peacefully. Don’t destroy anybody’s property in your protests. Do whatever you want, go to whatever place you desire and no one will touch you even the police. Do not touch any person's property, business, or goods. However, if you think you are man enough touch them,” Gachagua warned.

Raila on Wednesday gave the Kenya Kwanza government a 14-day ultimatum to restore food subsidies and lower taxes.

The former Prime Minister also demanded that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers be opened and audited by reputable firms.

“If these demands are not met within 14 days, we shall lead Kenyans to mass action across the country to restore sanity,” Raila threatened.
