Lawyer Miguna Miguna has issued a statement after social media reports linked him with the LGBTQ community.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has clarified reports linking him with the LGBTQ community.

In a statement on Tuesday, February 28, Miguna slammed social media users who called him gay, noting that he does not support the LGBTQ community.

“I didn’t even support LGBTQ but the zombies are running naked in the social media shouting, “Miguna is gay!” That’s why tiny Rwanda surpassed Kenya in all indices. To catch up with Singapore (forget about China or Canada), Kenyans must start reasoning like they are civilised,” Miguna tweeted.

The firebrand lawyer in a series of tweets earlier asked Kenyans to stop wasting time castigating the LGBTQ community and instead focus on liberating themselves from the Kenyatta and Moi families.

“Kenyans who live in tin shacks, can’t afford three square meals, are jobless or earn peanuts and have been subjected to torture and horrendous abuse by a few entitled elites should focus on stopping their suffering rather than waste time on a few LGBTQ members with zero power.

“Those wasting time on the LGBTQ are either castrated or immobilized by fear of the cartels who have reduced them to barbarism. The LGBTQ debate is diversionary. It takes valuable time and energy from the struggle for liberation from plunderers like the Kenyattas and Mois,” he stated.

The LGBTQ Community has been trending in the past few days following the Supreme Court's ruling that dismissed an appeal by the government that sought to bar the registration of LGBTQ organisations in Kenya.
