An image of Raila Odinga at a roadblock in Kisumu has gone viral on social media.

The image has seen Kenyans from all walks of life reacting to it with some claiming police had laid the roadblock to prevent the ODM leader from passing the road.

Nairobi Leo has however learnt that the roadblock was not put there specifically to block Raila.

Police had placed the roadblock since Wednesday ahead of the lapse of the 14-day ultimatum Raila gave state failure to which he will order maandamano countrywide.

Raila Odinga had arrived in Kisumu from Migori where he had addressed the public baraza.

From Migori, his first stop was Yacht Club in Kisumu where he took a brief stop before leaving for Grace Onyang'o home.

Grace is the first elected female MP and mayor of Kisumu who died earlier in the week.

Raila was heading to Grace's home to condole with the family for the loss of their relative.

At the roadblock, Raila and the leader who accompanied them alighted and removed the barricades and went on with their journey.
