Kioni said the Monday protest is a peaceful event and that no one should put on party attire.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni and ODM Party have asked Azimio La Umoja supporters not to use party-branded attires and merchandise in Monday's demonstrations.

The two in a statement said there was a plot to hire hooligans and dress them in their party-branded outfits so that they can cause chaos in the name of Azimio supporters.

Kioni said the Monday protest is a peaceful event and that no one should put on party attire.

“Please note that this is a march by Kenyans, not a Jubilee party event, as such, none of our members and supporters attending the march tomorrow (Monday) should dress up in Jubilee Party attire or colours,” said Embattled Jubilee Secretary Jeremiah Kioni in a statement on Sunday night.

Kenyans go about their business at the Nairobi Central Business District.

Raila Odinga-led ODM Party also passed the same message to its supporters saying they should not put on the Orange party outfits.

"Kenyans will hold peaceful demonstrations tomorrow. It is a constitutional right. The illegitimate regime has acquired shirts with ODM/Azimio colours to be worn by their hired goons to cause mayhem," the party said in a statement.

The Azimio coalition has maintained the Monday demo is still on and supporters have been asked to converge at the Central Business District before the start of the demo.

“Once again I urge you all to turn up in large numbers as we gather and march for justice and the right for everyone to afford a living in this county,” Kioni added.
