Police have barricaded roads leading to the State House 

As Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance staged its demonstrations on Monday, police took measures to prevent any assembly in the Central Business District.

The officer began by taking charge of key Nairobi Roads in Nairobi to block public access as they also blocked key areas believed to be home to many Azimio La Umoja supporters.

Nairobi Leo has established that over 7 key major roads have been blocked by police as Azimio supporters tried to access the CBD.

The processional way that leads to the State House is one of the major roads that has been blocked.

Dennis Pritt road, Arboretum road, and University Way road have also been barricaded with a contingent of police officers deployed in the area to restrict movement.

Another road blocked is Juja which nears Moi Air Base. Motorists plying the road were forced to go round the barricade to access the road.

Harambee Avenue road which leads to the office of the Deputy President and that of the President have also been barricaded.

City hall and Parliament road have also been kept out of bounds.

Police have also barricaded a section of Ngong road in a bid to take control of protesters from the Kibera area.
