Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has issued a direction to Interior CAS Millicent Omanga ahead of Azimio demos next week.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday, March 24 directed Interior Chief Administrative Secretary Millicent Omanga to deal with Azimio anti-government demonstrators.

Speaking during the homecoming ceremony on Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu, Gachagua advised Omanga to put on jeans and rubber shoes and deal with protestors who will destroy properties.

The DP also described Omanga as a hardworking person who helped the UDA party in Nairobi despite losing.

Omanga is mandated to provide liaison with the National Assembly and County government. She is also tasked with responding to issues assigned to the Ministry of Interior

This comes after Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga announced the second phase of anti-government protests.

“In the second face of our protests and response to public demand, we shall now hold protests every Monday and every Thursday beginning next week,” he said on Tuesday.
