President Ruto on Friday challenged the ODM leader to face him head-on instead of organizing demos and paralyzing businesses in Nairobi CBD.

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga on Saturday, March 25 fired back at President William Ruto over requests to call off the anti-government protests.

Speaking during a burial ceremony of Mzee Jerusha Odero in Bondo, Siaya County, Raila said that he is not a child who can be scared away easily by President Ruto.

"Ruto doesn't have any authority to lecture me on the demonstrations. I'm not a child that he can scold as he so wishes," said Raila.

The Former Prime Minister added that the Azimio coalition would go on with the demonstrations slated for Monday and Thursday next week.

"The demos will benefit Kenyans in the long run. I'm asking every citizen to come out on Mondays and Thursdays to protest against the high cost of living and an oppressive regime," he said.

President Ruto on Friday challenged the ODM leader to face him head-on instead of organizing demos and paralyzing businesses in Nairobi CBD.

"Stop the arrogance and face me. Stop paralyzing the businesses of Mama mboga, matatu, and other Kenyans. I am the one you ran against, if you have an issue with me come face me," the President told Odinga during his visit in Kisii County.
