Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has slammed President William Ruto's move to jet out of the country before anti-government protests

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has slammed President William Ruto over flying to Germany after planning attacks in the country.

Speaking on Tuesday, March 28 during a presser in Nairobi, questioned why President Ruto is outside the country seeking foreign investments yet local investments are being attacked.

“How does Ruto go to Germany and talk about attracting foreign investment to Kenya yet back at home he put in place machinery for vicious attacks on local investments?” Raila questioned.

He added, “In the age of climate change, how does Ruto sanction the setting of trees on fire and wants still hopes to convince us that he is committed to mitigating climate change and ensuring real growth? Why do foreign leaders and businesses entertain such a conflicted personality?”

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua on her part slammed the International Community for being silent over attacks during anti-government protests.

"We note the overwhelming silence of our international friends and the conspicuous silence of brutal Ruto, who, after planning the dark Monday attacks with his people, quickly jetted out of the country. He must be held responsible for yesterday's destruction, mayhem, arrests, injuries and loss of life,” she stated.
