The MCA is said to have had bad blood with Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka.

Kisa East ward representative Stephen Maloba is dead.

Maloba is reported to have been stabbed to death on Saturday, April 1, after a supposed scuffle with people believed to have links with Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka.

The incident was confirmed by Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale and deputy governor Ayub Savula.

"We have got a problem in Khwisero. There has been a fight there pitting the MCA against the MP's team. The MCA has been fatally stabbed and we are heading there," said Savula.

Khalwale said he had interacted with the deceased the previous day and was full of life then.

The senator said he would be rushing to the scene.

"I'm sorry that MCA Maloba has been stabbed to death... I'm headed there right away. We are not taking chaos there. He was at my home for breakfast the other day. My mood has been spoilt," said Khalwale.

Khwisero OCPD Samuel Kogo confirmed the incident saying it happened at a public meeting. Mr. Kogo noted that police are already looking for the suspected assailants.
