Gachuri resigned from Citizen TV after more than a decade of service to join the Ministry of Interior where he is the Head of Communications. 

Nairobi Leo has learnt that the journalist has been selected to join the Gang even though he has not been officially unveiled.

Sources aware of the intrigues have told Nairobi Leo that Gituku will be joining the Gang Thursday, April 6, for his first show.

Gituku has nearly a decade in Newsroom having covered current affairs and political stories for years.

He has also interviewed political heavyweights led by President William Ruto.

He is described as a top-notch journalist whose research skills and nose for news are unmatched.

The Gang will now comprise Business Editor Yvonne Okwara, Managing Editor Swahili Jamila Mohamed and Editorial Director Linus Kaikai.

Former Editorial Director Joe Ageyo who was at the show has never been replaced since he left to join Nation Media Group where he is the Group's, Editorial Director.

The News Gang Show is premised on discussing current affairs and ends with each Gang member issuing a tough-hitting opinion on his or her topic of choice.
