Raila asked Kenya to endeavour, like Jesus, to seize opportunities from challenges.

ODM Leader Raila Odinga has shared his goodwill message to Christians across the country as they mark their Easter Celebrations.

In a statement, Raila asked Kenyans to emulate Jesus who went through untold suffering but in the end conquered the world.

"The events that we Christians have been celebrating this week, culminating in Easter weekend take us back to the inspiring, courageous and peace-loving leader humanity has been blessed to have," Raila said.

"In his short but impactful mission, Jesus Christ saw an opportunity in every challenge he faced and that became the key to success."

Raila asked Kenya to endeavour, like Jesus, to seize opportunities from challenges.

"It is my hope that this Easter, and the many more to follow, we can learn to seize opportunities out of our challenge as Jesus did," he stated.

"It is also my hope that we continue promising ourselves to always follow what he preached, which is summarized as courage in the middle terror, hopes in the middle of hopelessness, humility in the in spite of power, grace, mercy, love and peace. I wish you a happy Easter to all."
