The passenger was found dead in the waiting lounge holding his travelling bag.

A passenger scheduled to travel was discovered dead at the waiting bay of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. 

Police investigating the incident said the 43-year-old had shown up for his travel but failed to make it to the plane to proceed with his journey. 

He was reportedly to travel to Mombasa before his journey on earth ended.

The Jambojet airline officials are said to have called his name numerous times as is with the procedure but he could not respond or be traced. 

The passenger was later found in the waiting lounge holding his travelling bag. It is then that the airline's clinical officers were called to check on him since he appeared motionless.

Upon the arrival and immediate observation, the passenger was pronounced dead.

Officials say they are yet to establish what could have led to his demise. Police said the family of the deceased was informed of the tragedy.

"We traced the family and informed them of the tragedy. We have launched a probe into the incident to establish what could have led to his death," police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further legal processes.
