Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will lead a team of elders that will be negotiating in the marriage ceremony of Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi and his love bird Murang’a woman representative Betty Maina.

The two MPs have been living together and are set to end the two-year courtship by formalising their marriage.

"We have now decided to live together as husband and wife. Gachagua will be my chief negotiator when Mathira meets Murang'a for the takeover of her daughter,” Wamumbi told Inooro TV on Monday.

Wamumbi hinted that the marriage ceremony will happen soon even as she praised Betty saying she has everything she wanted in a wife.

“This week, I will be in Murang'a for preliminary planning before the big day when I will descend on this land of my love in a manner that will make all envious,” he stated.

Maina was a director at the Athi Water Development Agency before he resigned to contest for the seat.
