Nderitu made the clarification in a response letter to National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi on April 25.

“Reference is made to the above subject matter and the letter received on 25 April 2023 regarding the status of coalition agreement between Kenya Union Party, Jubilee Party and Kenya Kwanza Coalition.

Wandayi had sought clarity from Nderitu after Azimio and Kenya Kwanza bi-partisan teams failed to agree on the inclusion of Jubilee MP Adan Keynan and David Pkosing of KUP in the committee.

Speaking earlier Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo stated that the Azimio coalition has suspended bi-partisan talks with the government until the stalemate is solved.

“Until then we have hit a stalemate and we have suspended these talks until such time as there might be consensus along the lines reached or the position changes,” said Amollo.
