A group of irate youths on Sunday evening stormed the residence of embattled Pastor Paul MacKenzie in Malindi and destroyed a perimeter wall.

The group at the same time destroyed banana and coconut plantations on the farm.

At the time police and other security agencies had pitched a tent at the residence holding a meeting in which MacKenzie was part of it.

After they left the compound, a charged crowd pushed the perimeter wall of the building bringing it down.

Police were forced to lob teargas to disperse the irate group of youths.

The group was allegedly baying for the blood of MacKenzie who they said had disappointed them following the discovery at his alleged Shakahola forest farm.

MacKenzie is accused of misleading his followers to fast to their deaths so that they can "meet Jesus".

So far, more than 100 bodies have been exhumed from the Shakahola forest.

The bodies were buried in shallow graves.

Postmortem examinations on the remains began Monday with Johansen Oduor saying many of them had no food in their stomach an indicator that they could have died of starvation.

The exercise is ongoing.
