The Kenya Defence Forces has advertised 245 positions for qualified Kenyans to apply.

A notice by the Ministry of Defence listed over 10 positions they are seeking to recruit.

The positions include that of driver II (8 posts), artisan panel beater III (10), artisan spray painter III (10), artisan welder III (4), artisan tailor (19), Motor vehicle electrician (10), motor vehicle mechanic III (27), Cook III (27), clerical officer II (22) and senior support staff/sanitary cleaner (118).

"Interested and qualified persons are requested to make their applications by completing one application form PSC2 (Revised 2016) and submit the same together with copies of the required certificates," the notice seen by Nairobi Leo read.

The application form, according to the notice, is available on the public service commission website www.publicservice.go.ke 

Detailed information on the jobs above can be obtained from the Ministry of Defence website www.mod.go.ke  and on www.my.govt.go.ke 

"Completed application forms should reach the Principal Secretary's office- Ministry of Defence. P.O Box 40668-00100, Nairobi or hand delivered to Ulinzi House gate off Lenana Road on or before May 22, 2023," the notice indicated.

The ministry has warned applicants from giving money to anybody purporting to be in a position to help them secure a job.
