Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has lectured Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba accusing him of killing sports activities in the country. 

The senator in his presentation said the CS has just been busy hosting social media content creators instead of addressing key issues in the sports ministry.

Cherargei says the CS has been concerned more with creating time for tiktokers instead of putting efforts into saving the ailing sports.

"I have seen the Sports CS Ababu Namwamba creating time for content creators and tiktokers over our traditional sports. He finds time to go on TikTok, but where are football, athletics, and volleyball? Why is the ministry concerned about content creators on social media?" posed Cherargei.

Cheragei said the CS must be ready to provide answers on what he is doing to save the sports industry,

He raised concerns over the mistreatment of sportsmen in the country saying the government must focus energy on ensuring top talents are well rewarded and respected by the government.

"We are tired. Will we run our sports through Harambees? Our athletes are stranded somewhere and people are forced to donate funds," he said.

"The CS must do what we call default setting. Our sports are dying and somebody is busy hosting digital content creators that will not assist the country going forward."
